Monday, April 7

Here's to a normal week!!
Ok in light of all the craziness last week, I have extended the nursery rhyme project for 2 days. It is now due tomorrow, Tuesday, April 8.
TODAY'S AGENDA:
1) Listed below are the requirements for the nursery rhyme assignment (I thought I had already posted these for you) Read through all the items and make sure you have them included in your presentation.

The following items MUST appear or be used to create your PowerPoint Nursery Rhyme Project:

  • Readable fonts (being consistent throughout the entire slide show makes for a better looking assignment)
  • Font sizes that can be read from the back of the room
  • One slide for each line of the rhyme
  • Use appropriate backgrounds that fit with the story and subject of the rhyme (you may have to create your backgrounds instead of using the pre-made apply designs)
  • Use appropriate graphics that fit with the story and subject of the rhyme (you may have to create and draw your own graphics instead of using the pre-made clip-art)
  • Animate a graphic (moving of a graphic – not just a custom animation)
  • Animate some text (custom animation is fine)
  • Use slide transitions between slides where appropriate
  • Use sound (from the Microsoft Office Program – pre-installed sounds)
  • Find and use a sound bite from the Internet
  • Everything should be set to run automatically (no mouse clicking at all)
  • Setup to turn-on as soon as it is opened (turn it in to the electronic turn in folder by packaging it)
  • A title page containing: the name of the Rhyme and who is responsible for creating the rhyme (who wrote it (if you can find that on the Internet – Bonus if you do) and who prepared the PowerPoint Project [your name])
  • A closing slide – A the end slide of some kind. Be creative.

Bonues:

  • If you don’t use any of the pre-made graphics or anything off the web – if you draw and create all of your pictures and backgrounds, etc. you will receive bonus points
  • If you discover something new or put something in your slide show that isn’t If you have recorded voice of someone in your slide show (you will have to coordinate this with me).
2) Begin/continue working on your Nursery Rhyme
If you are finished and have already turned it in, come see me: NurseryRhyme-SELF EVALUATION - grading rubric
3) Remember that you must have all the requirements complete in your Nursery Rhyme in order to get full credit and get a good grade.
4) I will go over the project with anyone who does not still understand it
Grading Rubric: To the right is the grading rubric that I will use to grade your Nursery Rhyme. Please read over it. If you are down with your Nursery Rhyme come see me so I can talk to you about doing your self-evaluation.
