• LOG ON TO YOUR COMPUTER
• OPEN MY BLOG
• OPEN A 2ND INTERNET EXPLORER WINDOW AND LOG ON TO YOUR BLOG
• COME OUT AND SIT IN THE CENTER OF THE ROOM (FILL THE FRONT OF THE ROOM FIRST~NO ONE SITS IN THE BACK OF THE ROOM)

STUDENT EXPECTATIONS:

• Explore functions of emerging technologies.
• Formulate and produce solutions and budget problems, both personal and business.
• Review for Excel Vocabulary & Basic Functions test - have a good understanding in order to do well on exam.
• Fill in notes during review

TODAY'S EXPECTATIONS:

* Review posting comments to teacher's blog (many in 4th period have not posted comments to my blog, to give me your blog url)
* Review where to save files (on your server drive)
* Review opening a file from teacher blog, saving, and adding the proper class header
* Teach a few short cuts and tidbits about formulas
* Demonstration of 11/30 Test assignment
* Learn how to take a screen shot and post it to "my" blog (see bciswithcrownover.blogspot.com for examples)

What your header/footer should look like every time you open and.or save a document.

DAILY AGENDA:

1. WARM-UP: log on to computer, get textbook, then find a seat in the center of the room. (taking notes over the information I am going to go over would be an excellent idea and will probably earn you bonus points)


2. Demonstrations by teacher {note taking highly encouraged :) }


3. Review several concepts together as a class (20 minutes)


4. Work on exercises for (20 minutes) & post your blog url to my blog if you have not already done so


5. Last 10 minutes study for Excel Vocabulary & Basic Features test. Go to the following websites to help prepare you for the test.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
* YOU ARE NOT TO TAKE OR USE ANYTHING OFF OF MY TEACHER DESKS. THIS INCLUDES MY TALL COMPUTER DESK AND MY CENTER TEACHER DESK. MY ROLLING TEACHER CHAIRS ARE NOT TO BE USED BY STUDENTS EITHER. I HAVE SUPPLIES FOR YOU OVER ON THE BOOKCASE BY THE TURN IN TRAYS. PLEASE GO THERE FOR STAPLES, HOLE PUNCH, TAPE, PENS, ETC.

* I will be working on grades today, as they are due this afternoon. Progress Reports go out tomorrow or Wednesday. Some of you owe me a lot of work, please GET BUSY AND USE TODAY'S CLASS TIME WIESELY!!!!

* When you are absent and you when you return to class and YOU MUST look at my blog for the daily activities you missed in order to find out what needs to be completed and turned in for that day you missed. Remember you get one day for each day you miss to complete work and turn it in, otherwise it is late.

* MAKE SURE YOU ARE TREATING THE TEXTBOOKS WITH EXTRA CAUTION. I AM STARTING TO SEE TORN OUT PAGES AND WE CAN'T HAVE THAT. THESE BOOKS COST MONEY AND IF I HAVE TO I WILL MAKE THE WHOLE CLASS PAY FOR ANY DAMAGES DONE TO ANY BOOK. PLEASE JUST BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU ARE TURNING THE PAGES AND ALWAYS CLOSE THE BOOKS AND PUT THEM ON THE SHELF WHEN YOU LEAVE EACH DAY.

This is not a day to ask me to go places. I expect everyone to stay in the room working on computer work and using your class time very wisely.

2. Once you have completed all of the above exercises, you MUST STUDY FOR YOUR EXCEL VOCABULARY & BASIC FEATURES TEST. This test will be Wednesday, no if, ands or buts. If you miss it you will have to make it up on your own time, not during class.
